Nenad Bach Band and Black47 @ The Towne Crier on August 17th 2012

Nenad Bach Band and Black47 @ The Towne Crier on August 17th 2012. Full house, great vibe! The venerable Towne Crier Café in Pawling, NY, has been presenting some of rock’s top acts for the past forty years, and yet I suggest none could have been better received than the dynamite double bill I saw last Friday night.

Opening act, The Nenad Bach Band, as I have witnessed so many times before, engaged and converted new fans to a special brand of music. The headliners, Black 47, likewise did not disappoint, as they rocked the full house well into the night. It was especially exciting for me to witness the performances through the lens of my camera, which has been trained on both of these bands for the past decade.

Nenad Bach's Interview on Conversation Crossroad on Monday, August 6, 7pm EST

http://conversationcrossroad.com/?p=5379

The Conversation Crossroad radio program is the definitive Internet-based radio program for listeners who want the best in entertainment, information and intriguing ideas.

Listen to Nenad Bach's interview on Monday, August 6, 7pm EST.

Nenad Bach has a dream. A dream nurtured through wartime and expatriation, a dream informed by his quest for universal justice and deep longing for world peace. The result: All I Want Is Freedom, a passionate cri de coeur and the latest CD in the artist’s prolific body of work.

It’s a potent shot of rock infused with heart and soul, packed with provocative lyrics calling back the ethos of the sixties, unafraid to question, determined to seek answers, in a rousing call to action that electrifies, galvanizes, and at the same time mesmerizes. Solidly backed by the four like-minded musicians comprising the Nenad Bach Band, and brilliantly recorded and mixed by five-time Grammy Award winner John Holbrook, the album was created at Nenad’s home in New York, in a back-to-basics bid for the days when “rock musician” wasn’t a profession, but a vocation. The naturalistic approach, inspired by Beatles’ engineer Geoff Emerick, is as close to live recording as it gets. For Nenad, “Love Is The Sound.” And for his listeners and the world, only love – and the truth – will set us free.

Nenad Bach Band at Croton Free Library, 24th March, 7.30pm

.

http://www.crotonfreelibrary.org/

Through his evocative and singular brand of music Nenad Bach calls back the ethos of the ‘60s. He believes, and expresses through his original music, that the human family can connect to repair our troubled world of war, injustice and economic woe.

Nenad Bach and his band of four like-minded musicians appearing at the Croton Free Library perform substantive songs, infused with droll wit. As a recording artist and performer, two of Nenad’s albums reached number-one in Europe, and to date he has sold over one million records.

He has performed all over the world with a wide range of artists, including Luciano Pavarotti; Bono and The Edge; Indigo Girls; Richie Havens; Vince Welnick, and many more.

Nenad Bach (lead vocal, piano, acoustic guitar) is joined on stage by Joe DeSanctis (keyboards, melodica); Richard Lindsey (bass); Michael O’Keefe (drums); Al Orlo, (guitar).

Nenad Bach Band Conquers Hanks Saloon

.

The Nenad Bach Band's debut performance at Hanks Saloon on 18 February 2012 was a fantastic success. There was great feedback from members of the audience.

Firstly, we wish to share a few photos sent in by Merlin.

It is also our pleasure to share wonderful comments by Vera Fabris who was one of the appreciative people who watched the show.

Hank’s Saloon in Boerum Hill, Brooklyn. A neighborhood with the mind of it’s own, with a relatively small, but powerful gem hiding in it. Nenad Bach and his band fit right in, adjusted to the environment; their music promoting the mystique in an undeniably invigorating way. One could not avoid but to ask oneself - did the audience know that the song ‘Vukovar’, about a Croatian town that became a symbol of senseless destruction, was brought to Brooklyn by Mr. Bach and his band in the form of a phoenix, raising from the ashes, only to blend in…It seemed as the rhythm of it, as well as of the other songs, was becoming faster and faster, and it’s texture grew stronger. The atmosphere was becoming more uplifting and optimistic, as the other songs were. The emotion was paradoxically heavy and light at the same time, always meaningful, positive, and elegant. It could have been that, in such an environment, it almost became compatible, in it’s greatness, with a timeless, black and white, John Wayne’s photo hanging on the wall. Nenad Bach and his band conquered Hank’s Saloon with such a certainty that comes only in some chosen times.

Check out this fan review from our last show at the Towne Crier by Peter and Elizabeth Skrodelis:

My husband and I had the great pleasure of seeing Nenad Bach in concert at the Towne Crier Cafe in Pawling, New York.

It was an inspired concert that covered a road from emotion to exhilaration.

The emotion was very evident in his songs regarding the atrocities of the war in Croatia and the Balkans (All I want is Freedom). The exhilaration of contemporary rock was prevalent in 'Can We Go Higher" and "Golden Slumbers" - a cover of the Beatles song.

His band was smooth, polished and talented.. The performance of Al Orlo, on lead guitar, and Joe DeSanctis, on key boards, was a true pleasure,

We would not hesitate to see Nenad again.

We look forward to seeing everbody! We CAN go higher!

Our new CD "All I Want Is Freedom" is available on iTunes, Amazon, CD Baby and will be available at BeanRunner Cafe.

The Nenad Bach Band and Marci Geller show at The Towne Crier Café on September 30, 201 was a huge success; in fact it exceeded expectations!

The intelligent and connected audience not only enjoyed the music but also savored the messages of the songs. The show’s Special Guest, Marci Geller, added a special dimension to the enjoyable show. Her performance with Nenad Bach and the Nenad Bach Band of the song “Yes, I Do” was one of the most enjoyed numbers in the show.
