World Peace in One Hour . com

To all freedom loving people in the world,

Nenad Bach has a dream, and he wants to share it. In a disordered world, a world of war and violence, injustice and economic woe, composer/musician Bach believes the human family can connect to create a seismic force capable of changing forever our troubled earth.

Through his evocative and singular brand of music, he calls back the ethos of the sixties in a passionate cri de couer. Antithetical to today's commodity driven market, Bach's lucid message is substantive and unafraid to question, delivered with unsurpassed beauty, heart, and soul, and is infused with a droll wit and a well-honed sense of humor. The New York Times called Nenad "a cross between Lou Reed and Elton John," but his fans prefer to think of him as "Lennon-esque."

Imagine the possibility of world peace achieved in one hour! Envision alternatives to violence! In a global era, we have universal access to a wealth of information, but are impoverished by an attendant attention span deficit. It's Nenad's fervent conviction that we have the tools at hand to address and transform the most pressing issues on earth -- by way of art.

We are barraged on a daily basis with dismaying headlines of strife and mayhem everywhere, whether in the United States from Columbine to Tucson, or in the Middle East, Asia, and Africa. And those are just the places that make the news. The result: people numbed into indifference and disaffection. Or worse -- driven to yet more violence.

The time has come to change our narrative," Bach says. "We need to spread the word, beginning with TV, with newspapers, with radio."

Nenad Bach has faith in all of us, and with good reason. His dream was informed by and nurtured through wartime and expatriation, and he bears witness to the infinite possibility of peace.

Violence produces violence," he says. "Wisdom produces more wisdom; compassion is born of compassion, and in the ultimate alchemy, peace will beget peace."

Backed by his eponymous band of four like-minded musicians, Nenad is currently doing a full court press to galvanize rapt audiences into action, while at the same time promoting ALL I WANT IS FREEDOM, the latest CD in the artist's prolific body of work, which was brilliantly recorded and mixed by five-time Grammy Award winner John Holbrook.

Several of the songs on Nenad's upcoming album will incorporate the mesmerizing a cappella sounds of "Klapa," a folk music that emerged from the ancient stone alleys and cathedrals of his native Croatia.

As a recording artist and performer, two of his albums reached number one in Europe, and to date he has sold over one million records. He has performed all over the world with a wide range of artists, including Pavarotti; Bono and The Edge; Brian Eno, Indigo Girls; Richie Havens; Garth Hudson and Rick Danko; Vince Welnick; and many more.

In addition, Nenad has scored dozens of features and short films, including the well-received KING OF COOL, a biopic about Steve McQueen; TRANSATLANTIC, a Mladen Juran film, which was the
Croatian entry for Best Foreign Film at the 1999 Academy Awards; and festival favorite RANDOM LUNACY. Currently, New York based Home Team Productions is producing a feature length documentary about Nenad's visionary life.

Give him a listen. It could make all the difference in the world.

Nenad Bach Band @ Millesime FEb 26, 2011 Another Success

.

"I always enjoy watching the Nenad Bach Band perform, and Saturday night at Millesime in the Hotel Carlton in New York City was no exception. What was surprising was to see a bar / lounge crowd - usually preoccupied with their own parties - stop everything and pay complete attention to the band for an entire set. The stage was in the middle of the room and so small that the band members faced in different directions in order to fit, yet the music overcame these difficulties and captured the audience. It was almost as much fun to watch the audience response as it was to watch the band."

Nenad Bach Band Sizzles in Towne Crier Cafe

Nenad Bach wows appreciative crowd at the Towne Crier Cafe in Pawling, New York

L-R: Al Orlo, Michael O'Keefe, Richard Lindsey, Nenad Bach and Joe DeSanctis.

Sunday night, zero degrees farenheit. As if that wasn't enough to stay home, it was also the NFL playoffs, yet a warm gathering convened in Pawling, New York at the historic Towne Crier Cafe to see the Nenad Bach Band. Celebrating its 39th anniversary, The Towne Crier Cafe is one of, if not the only Folk Club in the United States still in business under the same management all these decades. Many magical evenings of music have occured here, and this night was no exception. A group of well- educated people, on stage and in the audience, offered the right ingredients for an evening of original, thought- provoking music.

Throughout the evening, Nenad's message was clear: LOVE. His original compositions and arrangements brought the audience along a beautiful trip. The energy level varied along with the level of the music's amplitude. There was good ol' Rock and Roll, in "Love is the Sound" and, "Reason and Faith," with audience members leaving their tables to get up and dance. Then there were the ballads like, "Everything is Forever," during which, at one point you could hear a pin drop as Nenad and the audience together held their breath in silent suspense, waiting for Nenad to finish his thought.

Just as there was seamless communication and synergy within the band on stage, the harmony and peace of the evening had a rippling effect; Reassurance for all who were present , that to positively affect the world is possible, even if it is just for an evening's great music!

Nenad Bach Band and Frank Enea Band, Back-to-Back at the Towne Crier on Sunday, 23 January 2011

Nenad Bach and Frank Enea

The New York Times has called international recording artist Nenad Bach "a cross between Lou Reed and Elton John." Nenad has performed with Bono, The Edge, Luciano Pavarotti, Rick Danko, Richie Havens and Garth Hudson, among others. Nenad played at Woodstock in '94. Two of his albums reached No. 1 in Europe, and to date he has sold over one million records. Nenad is solidly backed by the four like-minded musicians comprising the Nenad Bach Band: Joe DeSanctis, Richard Lindsey, Michael O'Keefe and Al Orlo. Brilliantly recorded and mixed by five-time Grammy Award winner, John Holbrook, their current CD, All I Want is Freedom, is a potent shot of rock infused with heart and soul, packed with provocative lyrics calling back the ethos of the sixties; unafraid to question, determined to seek answers, in a rousing call to action that electrifies, galvanizes, and at the same time mesmerizes.

In keeping with his belief that music has no boundaries, Nenad has recently 'conquered' distance, language and cultural challenges when he toured Australia, Japan and China to perform and to promote the Nenad Bach Band music through newspaper, radio and TV interviews.

Singer/Songwriter,Guitarist. "With eyes on the world" is how the New York Times, in a feature article described Frank Enea's music. From the opening chords of his "Makeshift Days" record and track 1 entitled “Falling Out Of Bed” to the final track “Holding Back” featured on College stations through out the U.S. had been promoting his CD as well as major stations such as WAXQ and WPLJ and WOR Radio's nationally syndicated show, "The Lionel Show" which broadcasted all the tracks from "Makeshift Days".

Exhilarated by the warm reception and experience from his recent world trip, Nenad eagerly looks forward to perform his brand of rock with soul music with the Nenad Bach Band. Likewise, Frank Enea and the Frank Enea Band are committed to bringing live music around.

With the common love of sharing their brand of music with live audiences, the Nenad Bach Band and the Frank Enea Band will perform back-to-back at:
